A regional information technology firm based in Southern
California, we have decades of technical experience to assist your organization. Our team has substantial cross-industry experience; and broad application
knowledge - you name it, and we have probably built it … or something like it over
the last 30 years!
We craft our solutions utilizing the latest Microsoft .NET
development technology and a variety of best-of-breed toolsets to meet the
specific needs of each client. We are recognized as a Microsoft Gold Certified
Partner, as such, we have demonstrated superior competence and expertise in the
use of Microsoft technologies. This partner relationship brings the full
resources of Redmond to the table.
Our philosophy is to use the most cost-effective technology available. In
addition to Microsoft, we partner with the best tool vendors, so we can focus
on developing business solutions - rapidly. For example, we use
Embarcadero’s SQL modeling toolset, user interface controls from Infragistics,
and stock icons from Glyph Labs. Over the years, we have combined these
best-of-breed solutions into a set of robust frameworks (one for the Web, and
one for the desktop) that allows us to deliver on our industry’s promise of
Rapid Application Development.
This strategy extends beyond
application development into design and architecture. By optimizing proven
concepts and components, we are able to develop unique Strategic Business
Applications and enhance existing enterprise-wide applications on a reliable,
repeatable and extendable foundation. We start with a premise of proactively
applying components, or patterns, that have been used in previous design and
development activities that have demonstrated that they improve reliability
and development speed and build a rock-solid application from this bedrock
foundation. Our capabilities cover the entire development process to include: Business and Requirements Analysis Technology Planning and Systems Analysis Project Management and Project Oversight Desktop and Web Development Web Services Content Management and Database Design Administration and Security Software Development and Engineering Data Conversion, Mapping, and ETL Process Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Cubes Manual and Automated Software Testing and Quality Assurance Technical Writing and Documentation and CD-based training
Development Methodology A system
development methodology is the core of the system development life cycle (SDLC).
Every few years the processes are refined to incorporate lessons learned and
best practices. Based on our goal to organize and utilize a meaningful
collection of system development phases without burdening the project with
excessive administration overhead, the Enterprise Unified Process (EUP) is
currently Brilogy’s methodology of choice. EUP incorporates the
following disciplines: Inception Phase
- Tasks include conducting a feasibility study, creating a business case,
capturing requirements and identifying risks. High-level technical architecture
is defined. High-level prototyping is started. Elaboration Phase -
This is where most of the work is done. Use cases are captured for the majority
of the processes. A detailed construction plan is defined and a project plan is
formulated. Prototypes are developed and reviewed. Construction Phase -
This phase focuses on the completion of the
requirements, analysis and design. Coding is done in this phase. Transition Phase -
Integration testing, system testing, documentation,
training and acceptance testing are performed. Production Phase -
Rollout, modify, support, correct minor defects |
